it is still unknown what exactly, i hope its new Divinity because the rules of the dnd with this dice rolls are not suitable for a computer game
I guess they could do Spellfire. That's an awesome series.
It'd be financially silly not to.
No DLC is fine, I'll buy another full game if it's like this one.
Say you don't have a gambler's heart without saying you don't have a gambler's heart
This is why I wish they'd (and WOTC obviously) give the tools to like Obsidian or someone else with CRPG experience to make BG4 or some New Vegas style BG3 game.
They now have the perfect toolbox to make D&D RPGS and they're just gonna MOVE ON?
And it's fine, D&D fans have had content feast and famines so we're used to it (gold box, infinity engine etc) but it just feels to me that they've NAILED the toolset for D&D and I really wish they'd use it for another game or two.
Guys it doesn't have to be this level of good, I love BG1/2 but Icewind dale is also pretty good. I know the characters and story are pretty good here, but the "Magic" of BG3 to me isn't the writing, it's getting the D&D rules to work in a biowareesque kind of framework without sacrificing what makes D&D D&D.
So idk it just makes me sad - it's like building a gaming PC to play a game and then putting it on the shelf after a highly enjoyable few hours.
LARIAN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH IT ANYMORE CAN WE :D
(I will say I know there will be mods and TCs and stuff and I'll take them grapefruitly.)
Something set in Ravenloft is always a fan favorite and I personally would love to see something set in Chult...
Though I would really love to see Waterdeep, so I can agree on that one...(even though I don't really disagree about the others either...^^
This is why I'm saying you could do a "New Vegas" with waterdeep and a different dev but same toolset and not ♥♥♥♥ up any of the stories or stuff from BG3.
Ravenloft is also possible for any D&D group (even this one) since Ravenloft can take you whenever but they would need more new assets.
But yeah with Waterdeep they could take all the existing assets and just GO.
