Balthazars Fight
I've tried both the fight in the first room and the one where you meet Balthazar when you see the nightsong. I've seen people say the first fight is harder and some people say the second one is harder. I've been stuck on it for awhile now, any tips??
I know that you can just throw Balthazar off the edge by pushing him in the second version of the fight, but it still doesnt solve the issue with how many enemies there are.

Blinding smite luck of the far realms into third level smite crit should be enough to oneshot him.
Killed him in one hit that way on my current honour run.

In my experience the fight in his lab is easier than the fight in the Shadowfell. You don't have those giant skeletons kicking you into the abyss, for one.

Also, if you want to go to all that trouble, you could persuade him to give you the bell to call Flesh. Then, go elsewhere, start a fight, call Flesh and "accidentally" kill it. After this, go back to the lab and fight Balthazar. Silence him, if possible, because he loves to use Cloudkill.
I think you should be able to either pickpocket or buy his Speed Potion from him so he won't get an additional action.

This should be enough to make him pretty easy to kill.

I think the lab fight is easier.

By that point you should be at a high enough level to wipe him out without too much trouble provided you have a couple of burst killers like fighter+paladins and your party has 5+ initiative apiece so that you can dump on B and finish him in the first round, followed by mopping up the others.

You can use my favourite method for the nightsong fight. Hide and then drag every skeleton over to the edge of the arena, just pile them all up there. Unhide and start the convo/fight, once it does they'll spread out a little but otherwise be real close to each other and of course at an edge. Use something like Arrow of Roaring Thunder or Thunderwave the spell or anything else that can push a group, you should get a couple off on the first shot. try to get as many on your first turn (for each party member as you can) if that doesn't work, fireball.

Battles are massively dependent on your party composition, character builds, items, and consumables.

You want to slay? Juice 2x Barbarians on Elixirs of Cloud Giant Strength.
