If you did not enjoy Divinity Original Sin 2 it is unlikely you will enjoy this one.
I am fine with Baldurs Gate 3, as i play a character talking his way out - most of the time. Had like 5-10 minutes of combat per hour played. With easy difficuty i just use standard attacks the characters has and get it over with quickly. I did do the level up of characters and add like 1-2 better armors i found, no more then that. I even considered the options interesting as i used them: e.g. once i did not kill an enemy NPC ranning away (didn´t want to kill her). When i realized she came back with reinforcements, i used "run" with each of my characters to get out of the building and the fight, that i most likly would have lost.
With that being descirpted i personal, am happy with the turn based combat, as i talk a lot with characters, having to figure out a puzzle now and then.
Choices / Dialogue options use a Dice that is rolled (Persuade, trick etc.). Not everyone likes it as i heard. I do like to have a likelyhood explained to me first and the thrill of defeat/success, when the dice rolls.
This here is misinformation, ladies and gents.
Dragon Age Origins is RtwP. Aka. Real-time with pause.
Not turn-based. :)
