Perhaps it's more the fact that it's a weapon with higher damage than a 2 handed weapon, with a damage type that's not often resisted, and then gives easy advantage too.
Idk it's not game breaking but it's definitely pretty powerful except for its cOnCeNtRaTiOn restriction
In context of all the other game breaking exploits in BG3, Shadowblade doesn't even register.
It's just a neat spell that lets illusionists do melee and arcane tricksters have a spell option for sneak attacks.
Furthermore, if it were that game breaking, then why go through the trouble of making it a ring? Why not leave it out altogether?
They should add it to the Sorcerer, Warlock and Wizard spell lists. Illusion magic is barebones enough as it is.
And you and me both know this can easily be used in very broken ways.
I mean shadowblade even had thrown property. Is that also in BG3 ? i never used the ring
eh, maybe because at that point in the game they were ok with that power creep, but not as a level 2 spell ??
