Act 1 Hag glitch/ exploit (Spoilers!)

This may be known, but a friend and I just stumbled upon this:

When you first go into the teahouse, make sure you don't piss her off to the point that she "transforms". You need to have her still wandering around the house.

Have Gale/ a wizard who knows the Arcane Lock spell sneak back behind the fireplace, and "lock" the stairwell.

Then openly walk through the fireplace, which will cause her to aggro. She will try to escape through the stairs... but they're locked.

The only action she will take is to try (unsuccessfully) open the stairs. You can just wail on her until she's dead.

Sorry if this is already known, but I was fascinated to find this out on my fourth playthrough.

I have heard about that but not tried it yet. Can you still get her scalp if you get her below 10 HP?

Hi didn't know about that I love how creative people can be on this game, but doing it make you pass a permanent buff I don't think it worth it except if you are on an RP good path.

a) I think they widened the margin for the hair. I fought her the "normal way" a couple weeks ago, and she offered the hair when she got to 18 HP.

b) with the locked stairwell, we did not get an offer of hair, even though we got her HP down to 9 at one point. So it does seem like you miss out on that... but i see that as a lateral move.

I personally don't think i'll do this again. I don't care that much about the hair, but it shortchanges a really cool and challenging fight. It also seems to have bugged out the journal a little bit. We've closed out the quest entirely (the guy I'm playing with killed Mayrina too), and there's still a quest marker at the Teahouse.

Still, for anyone who doesn't want to be bothered with the "proper" fight, it's an option that was really simple, even at level 3 or 4.

Yeah i believe this has been a known tactic for a while now, at least i believe i saw a short on youtube of someone doing this, or something similar. Don't think that it would be a glitch.. Since pretty much all of the mechanics are working as intended here.


But yeah, fun and clever little tactic for sure.
