Seriously, Isobel wants to die
I'm doing an honor mode playthrough and Isobel chooses to just commit suicide by running into a horde of demons during the Last Light Inn fight. My run's over because of this! No, not because I died but because everyone is dead that I cared about because this dumb cleric can't sit in the corner under the safety of a sanctuary spell and instead decided to run in, swinging her weapons like an absolute dumbass.

They should just have you control her for this fight. She makes the worst decisions.

I ended up body blocking her with three of my party members and a wall to keep her from running off. :v

Put her to sleep and cast sanctuary on her. She acts WAY too big for her britches,

There is no requirement to even do this fight at all. You can just grab the drider's moonlantern and skip getting Isobel's blessing if you don't want to risk the fight.

I proc that event towards the end of my time on the map for that very reason. On my first playthrough, Isobel killed herself in the same fashion and I lost access to all the merchants and quests. Sucked. But I didn't know how bad it sucked until I played the game again.

Get the moonlantern from the drider instead. Or from B's chambers.

That ambush is one of the worst designed encounters in the game - for the very reason you state. Even if you are a very expert player you cannot guarantee to save Isobel first attempt if you play it "straight" (i.e. you don't prepare), it's too dependent on exactly what Isobel does and even more so on the initiative rolls.

But to be fair the fight is very easy if you do prepare for it and really if you're trying an Honour run you should already know how to prepare for it and what the main moves are to protect Isobel to avoid this eventuality.
