Saving throw help!
Hi guys,
i'm currently playing Seldarine Drow Sorcadin with following attributes
STR: 16, DEX: 10, CON: 14, INT: 8, WIS: 10, CHA: 16
i've reached level 3 just before first goblin attack on grove, i dipped first 2 levels into paladin (oath of ancients) and on 3rd level i selected draconic bloodline sorcerer, if i'm not mistaken as a sorcerer i should have gotten +2 on constitution saving throws which shows correctly on leveling up but soon as i finish with leveling up and go to my character screen, saving throw under constitution remains +2 (instead of +4). I tought maybe it's a visual bug and tried to test it, i've let Lae'zel use Pommel strike on me, and under combat log it shows that indeed my saving throw is only +2. Can anyone else confirm this or am i in wrong here.

unless I'm wrong your proficiencies are determined by your base class, which is Paladin. so you should have saving throw proficiency in Wisdom and Charisma

you would need Sorcerer as your bass class to get proficiency in CON saving throws, or take the Resilient feat and choose CON.

You are probably correct, level up screen confused me cause it clearly showed +2 (total +4) saving throw proficency when i choosed sorcerer class. Damn i contacted Larian i thought it was a bug, i feel so stupid, ty for the help.

This guide should help (shameless self plug) - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3092222171&searchtext=saving+throws

The first class you pick has your saving throw proficiency. You need to go level 1 Sorc to get the Con proficiency.

In the guide above I explain the exact situation you are in and the ways to manage it.

Never feel bad about asking for information or help. :)

BG3 is very complex in its interactions with all the moving parts that it has. I have 350+ hours and learn new stuff all-the-time.

Good Luck
Have Fun

Thank you, i've really had no idea, but it absolutely makes sense that it works like that.

Mhm. Same goes with certain proficiencies like for Heavy Armour e.g.

And as Ironwu wrote: nothing wrong with asking for help in that regards.
No need to feel stupid, as "a stupid person" probably would not have asked.

^ Yup :) All broken down in the last section of my guide using a Paladin Sorcerer as an example. Check the "Concentration Saves" section it is in that section.

Thank you for the kind words, as you said game is very complex and huge with lots of information, next time i will definitely search on the internet for some information and not send stupid questions to Larian as my first action. Really wanted that CON saving throw but i guess some sacrifices need to be made.
