Does Longstrider affect flying?
From the way it's described, flight just converts directly from your movement speed, and it's twice as efficient, so you move 18 meters instead of 9 meters naturally. Does this mean that other movement speed increases also have an effect on total flying distance? Or is 18 meters / 60 feet the limit?

Bump for knowledge.

It's been more than 2 hours. Try it yourself. It's not like it's hard to find out.

It's going to take me a lot longer than two hours to get Fly on my character again. I started over and deleted my old run.

And maybe it's different for the spell Fly compared to Drac Sorc Fly, Storm Sorc Fly or Illithid Fly.

Too lazy to launch the game but if there's no answer tomorrow and i don't forget i'll do it.
There's no downside to longstrider, so that's not a big deal gameplay wise.

Well i tested it with a potion, it doesn't appear to change it. I'm not sure if the other methods of achieving flight would change this, but at least as far as i can tell, it doesn't appear to change with longstrider. Especially because the potion of flying, it actually tells you exactly what your range of flight is. And that appears to be independent of your character's normal movement (different characters with different movement speeds will fly the same distance)

Fly is directly related to Movement. And yes, you can fly further than you can walk for the same movement. If you have 180 ft Movement (and you can), you can fly 180 ft by flying 60 ft at a time. Make sense?

Ah, I think I get what you mean. So I can fly up to 60 feet using the standard amount of movement. However, if I have boosts like Longstrider, I can then fly a second time using the remaining movement speed.

So it doesn't change the maximum distance in one flight, but it will still give you more overall travel for the turn.

Exactly. Personally, Fly is the only way to fly. Don't be walkin' or jumpin'. Fly potions work great when you can get them around lvl 6 and before you get to Baldur's Gate. Best time to use them.
