a) no, mods do not affect savegames by default unless you actually save with using a mod which creates a dependency
b) depends on the mod
Consider using a safe approach as described here while you are still learning how to use mods

Specific questions as such are best placed with the mod creator. It is one of the mods I would not recommend to beginners, considering it can cause very bad and very hard to troubleshoot issues if you do not know what you are doing.
It is your game license to use the way you want to play. However, you should clearly understand that Larian Studios does NOT support Modding at this time and does NOT take Modding into account when updating the game.
The bottom line is that when using Mods, it is at your own risk. You may lose all your Saves and your entire BG3 installation at any time, without warning. The only 'fix' if this happens may be a complete clean of all BG3 data on the system and a full reinstall.
So, just be aware of the dangers of Modding before heading down that road.
Good Luck
Just download the mod. I've used it for multiple save's through multiple patches and it has never caused an issue for me. It has an issue with the underdark boat were u should only be taking the regular 3 companions due to more ppl getting stuck and left behind but that is it. It is not recommneded to delete mid playthrough. It is safe to download and keep through patches and is regularly updated.
this mod works in multiplayer, both or all players just have to have the mod installed properly. The multiplayer patch is different though from the one that is simply used in single player only. The single player version is just a pak file so if you don't plan to use it in multiplayer, you would just disable the pak file in bg3mm before playing online and re enable it when you wanna play alone. Takes 5 seconds to do this lol, You don't have to delete the SP pak file to disable it either. Requires script extender btw to be used. Which is also safe to use.
That statement of yours makes no sense.
Those questions are made in particular when one wants to start modding. The more you know about how to mod, the better.
In general that statement is not wrong. But it is misplaced with most mods users. Mods come with installation and descriptions how to use them and what they do. If they do not, the first one to ask is the mod author. The second is the modding community. Coming here first despite the better options is questionable at best.
