I wouldn't know. It's optional and I haven't done any of it.

Since it's optional, I guess I would say is has far less than some games where the romance is part of the story (if you can call calculator romance as romance).

No. There hosts of RPGs with romance, including ones dedicated to romance as a core part of their narrative. Persona comes to mind as a good example of a game series far more focussed on romance.

As for how much BG3 specifically has compared to other RPGs, depends on the RPG and honestly I don't see how you could quantify this in any objective way. Based on how optional the romances are? How much of the dialogue lines are dedicated to it? Number of different romances possible?

Meh, been playing ME lately again, and I have to say, this game makes ME look like hentai tentacle porn...the few romance scenes there are, are very tame...

And you can have some sexy time with a succubus and some people in a brothel.

No idea how to measure it. Subjectively feels like about the same amount as Dragon Age games, maybe? It's been some time since I played those though.

I'd say about Dragon Age Origin levels. It's not the core focus, you get the option to ask for smooches, it gets acknowledged in stories/quests/companions, the sex scenes are practically PG-13 levels (though some allow the camera angle to actually see genitals but there's no explicit visible penetration), you get the option to break it off anytime even after 'completing' the romance, and you can at least "attempt" to pursue multiple partners.

As someone who plays actual dating sims, this is pretty much nothing compared to a game that actually is all about harrassing (talking to them every chance you get) and stalking characters (learning what locations to go to in order to trigger encounters) while building your stats to fit their ideal image to get them to like you. I put a lot of headcanon for my pairings in this game because the romance scenes are so spaced out for a proper relationship development.

Also I'm not knocking dating sims. I'm just being tongue-in-cheek on how many of them focus more on "relationship development" compared to engaging gameplay or overall story.
