Something I'm still unclear on with Pact weapons...
Does the weapon's damage becoming "magical" mean it's doing something other than piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage? Does it ignore the usual resistances to weapon damage? Or is "magical" just meant to convey that it's now working off of your spell modifier, but still does it's listed type?

Some enemies are specifically resistant to nonmagical damage, meaning they'd take half damage from mundane weapons.
However, that can usually safely be ignored because basically past the first few hours, everyone in the party is kitted out with magic gear.

If it's magical it is still piercing, slashing or bludgeoning. It also overcomes damage resistance to non-magical attacks that a lot of enemies have.

Ohh, I get it. So it's like the situation with fire or cold, where there are magical and non-magical versions of resistance, as indicated by the blue and grey arrows above the shield.
