Gloves of Soul Catching...
Does anyone know if these work with Thrown weapons? Throwing is suppose to count as unarmed damage, as your hands are empty at the time of impact with the target. This is why the Sparkle Hands gloves generate lightning charges on hit with thrown weapons.

But I haven't seen any mention of whether or not the 1d10 force damage from the Gloves of Soul catching work the same way. Not even that anyone has tried it.

Has anyone here given them a try before? Or has them and can give it a shot?

A bit late and you probably got your answer but I just tested them on hope right after she gave me then and it didn't add damage nor did it give me any option to heal it normally would unfortunately.

Soulcatchers exclusively boost the damage of unarmed strikes.

Their effects are what make them the general BiS for pretty much all MNK builds, since a free Reckless Attack (without the drawbacks), on top of taking your already considerable damage output and slapping a d10 on that b*tch - the highest of all the glove damage bonuses - take even an average MNK and shoot them into being one of the premiere damage dealers of BG3.

Not to mention it gives CON +2 as well as a free 10 HP heal per turn so long as you hit something (though it negates the free advantage if you do so) so you shore up the major flaws of a MNK and shoot their amage to the stratosphere all in a single item.

If you're looking for thrower gloves, honestly the best ones are the Kushigo Gloves which grant a 1d4 damage bonus to thrown attacks that match the damage type of the attack. This is ESPECIALLY important for Tavern Brawler, as the feat can cause the damage bonus to proc an additional time (since it's treated as its own damage source).

I just tested them on Karlach and it does give her the "grasp essence" condition with its associated healing ability, but sadly doesn't seem to proc the 1d10 force damage. Found another post that claimed they worked exactly the same for a monk, also not giving the dmg boost... So they could be bugged.
