Haste, Extra Attack, and spells
Playing on Honor mode, and for some reason extra actions don't scale with Extra attack. Yet spell casting doesn't have any restrictions? You can cast multiple level 6 spells in a single round with no downsides? Who thought of this brilliant idea?

Martials already get way more out of haste than casters, and martials in general are more powerful.
Casters only excel at wiping out hoards of squishies.

Yeah they changed a few things like this. I think it’s good tbh, just wish bosses had more hp

Casters excel at controlling the fight AND can deal insane damage.

The change would be fine if it applied to mages, too. As it stands, a mage being able to pump out up to 3 spells in a round is devastating.

Theres only one setup that can even remotely keep up with martials (im counting sword bard as a martial for this, because they are good trough their weapon attacks, not really their casting since most of your good spells run off of your wizard dip anyways), and since most super potent control spells require concentration, you can only have one up at a time anyways.

Are you complaining that the class passive Extra Attack does not allow you to cast a spell?

I'm not sure what you are saying. Pure Fighters can already make 7 attacks with no haste given the right choices.

With twinning it is even better.

3?
Haste, Bloodthirst, regular action. Bloodthirst assumes that something was killed with the previous 2 actions.

The problem with haste on a caster is you either pay a concentration penalty or you risk going lethargic. So let's say you cast hasted on yourself, you now cannot use any spells with concentration. Lets say you use the Potion you are now guaranteed to go lethargic in 3 turns. Even re-drinking another Potion of Speed before going lethargic will force a lethargic turn.

Oh i see, I didn’t realize you could have bloodlust and haste at the same time

Turns in which you can absolutely wreak havoc. If you are about to become lethargic you just... go far away from the enemy, should be easy with the extra speed.

The "balance" team at Larian, obviously. :steammocking:

That's the worst idea, no manner of stat bloat will ever fix this game's problems.

Sorcerer with Haste, Bloodlust, Twinned Spell and Quickened Spell can potentially do 7 spell casts in one turn.
