Multiclassing Wizard and Sorcerer
I'm trying to take one level of Sorcerer just for the Wild Magic. The wiki says the most recent class you take a level in determines the ability modifier for the spell save dc of any spell that doesn't come from taking a level in a class (spell items and scrolls). How does that work with learning spells from a scroll? It seems reasonable to assume the spell uses Intelligence since spell scribing is directly tied to the wizard, but I want to be sure.

Learned spells from scrolls is an ability from wizard, and therefore using your int

Unlike the tabletop, wizards can cast the full caster level "ESL" i.e. you have 11 levels in sorcerer and 1 in wizard, you can cast a level 6 wizard spell which uses intelligence for those specifically learned spells

I think all spells learned from scrolls are Intelligence based. That "last class" thing only applies to general spellcasting modifier bonuses. Because learning spells from scrolls is specifically a Wizard trait, it falls under the Wizard spell list, and can only be used from Intelligence.

Same with any spells you learn when you level up Sorc. Those will casted from Charisma.

@Adonan

If you cast that same learned spell from a scroll it will use CHA. All scroll and item spells will use the last lvl 1 which in this case will be CHA. So you learn eyebite as a wizard. If youc ast it from your spell list it will use INT, from a scroll it will use CHA.

You will miss out on a feat. I really like having 3 feats as it allows me to max my spell casting ability score and take Alert or War Caster. Both are great. Both have elixirs.

I know, and I felt that way too, at first. However, someone elsewhere explained it as giving up a feat for class features and possibly proficiencies. In this case, I'm giving up a feat and an extra prepared spell for Tides of Chaos, Wild Magic, and four extra cantrips. In a way, taking one level of Sorcerer can be seen as taking a feat that unlocks a few class features. Not to mention I'm still able to max out my casting stat as long as I take Ethel's hair and an ASI.
