Can You Blow Up the Steel Watch Foundry?
Specifically without the blind gnome or the runepowder bomb? I can't find the gnome anywhere in the Foundry and I'm not even sure if it's too late to get the bomb.

Actually, could I avoid it altogether and just kill Gortash instead?

You can avoid it altogether by NOT killing Gortash and getting in alliance with him. Just gut Orin then the brain will gut Gortash for you so you can loot him

If you are playing evil then it’s perfect storm for you, just ally with Gortash and kill Orin.

Will save you a lot of effort although naturally you will lose on the loot from the Steelwatch boss but it’s not a big deal if your party is already strong

I think so. I seem to remember something about that during my first playthrough. I think you can find something on one of the bodies, like a book or something? Right at the entrance where the first group of Gondians are. I think there is another book further in the foundry, something about Gondian religion. That gives you the code to blow it up. I am certain I blew it up without them or the bomb in my first game because the blind one/group you meet at the entrance were already dead, probably due to doing things in the wrong order. I didn't have Wulbren's bomb either.

Or like the others said, just ally with him and save yourself the hassle. :P

You can but there's gonna be steelwatchers all across the place to get to him. Blowing up the foundry desactivate all the steelwatches. Don't blow it up if you don't plan to kill gortash though, he isnt gonna like it.

Yeah I won't care much about the loot from it. My party is really good with Lae'zel and Durge. Especially my Durge, it's like I'm playing on God mode with him right now.

I tried the book thing but it didn't work. Oh well.

I already massacred the steel watchers. That wasn't the issue. The issue is that I went on an evil playthrough and I think the Foundry was bugged.

You can get the runepowder bomb from the deep gnomes if you saved them in moonrise tower, they are under wyrm's crossing in rivington.

I looked it up because my memory is foggy and it was a few months ago when I did it. If Toobin's body is too damaged to talk to or loot, there is a note on one of the other bodies. You need to find the note and read the book and then you'll be able to blow the foundry up.
