I don't get how this embarasment could be a game of the year lol.
step-by-step battle system like in poor RPG-maker projects instead of free action fights like in witcher or dark souls/elden ring. This is not even like diablo and warcraft-like gameplay, this is literally kind of final fantasy from 90s, this is just garbage tier gameplay. It just looks like developers were too lazy for designing entertaining action-rpg with interesting battle system.
What is the point of playing this game? This is really dull and boring overrated garbage. I am sick about this game won GOTY.
Looks like game industry experiencing kind of drought when nothing good been released so crap like this becomes game of the year.

The fact this game is so beloved and got 96% approval rating means most people love turn based games

Also dynamic gameplay would be a mess if you need to control 4 characters with their gazilion different spells and abilities at the same time .

You want dynamic gameplay, Diablo 4 is your game, it’s also a 2023 game and is exactly what you want.

I have both and enjoy both games for different reasons .

But BG3 is now my favorite game , I rather have 4 characters with gazilion abilities and spells and turn based than one character and just click 1-2-3-4 over and over like Diablo
