Even if you don't take it on your other characters, spellcasters are the masters of buffing and nuking, so you still get a lot out of them going before your other characters.
I ruled that out because my first level was dragon born sorcerer so I already have proficiency in con, or at least I should if I undertsand it correctly. So war caster will give me advantage + proficiency on concentration saves. Then alert will let me go first and not be surprised.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
Warcaster isn't even that valuable if you never get hit.
Put everything into deleting enemies on the first turn.
It's great for those who try to play by the rules...
Which are the chumps that think playing fair is a good idea.
The essential problem with it is that it makes getting hit "less worse" if you're a spellcaster who needs to concentrate on a powerful spell.
But wait...
If you're a powerful spellcaster, why are you getting hit at all?
Either delete every enemy before they can do anything, CC them so they can't do anything, or bury your own characters under a mountain of buffs that make them untouchable.
Warcaster is a waste of a feat because it slows down any of these three superior choices. Likewise, so is investing any points into Con.
Just don't get hit in the first place.
