Why no beards for elves ??

First time I play an elf and it struck me that they don’t have an option to put beards on.

I mean really? So every single male of ANY race in faerun can casually have a vag and female voice, and every single female of any race can casually have a penis and a man voice , but elves can’t have beards??

They allow any type of skin color for any race, you can make a half orc with human skin, you can make a human in blue skin etc but put a beard on my elf character: big No, it’s a taboo lol

Even human FEMALEs are allowed to have beards and it’s a totally casual thing you get in the character creation!

Any reason why Male elves don’t have the option for one ? Probably just because lol

It's just a racial thing. Because believe it not, there are differences between the races... And I don't mean to sound rude but I like that races are different and have their own stereotypes and characteristics. It makes the world feel much bigger when not everyone is all the same.

We actually see in Blood in Baldur's Gate, the prequel ARG, an elf with a beard....One he glued to his face. Ketheric has a beard because he's a half-elf, his human heritage means he can grow facial/body hair, elves can't.

im happy to inform you that human women, in real life, do indeed grow facial hair naturally.

That stuff is just pandering to the crowd/providing options. By lore the only women who have beards are dwarves and only elven men can't grow beards.

There's women IRL who grow beards, it's called hirsutism. A symptom of PCOS, for example, which affects many women.

Why is Sex always in video games but STD's are not?

It's up to the writers/designers to Pander to the demographic they want to.

Let's stop using "IRL" as an argument in a D&D game, it's a bit silly imo.

Especially when ALL women grow leg hair but it's never in videogames because.. nobody wants it.

That being said I don't care about it, having a grown ass woman with a beard if I want is fun fantasy.
