This literally sums up Wyll
Take care of yourself and stop worrying about the world’s problems. You’ll be happier.
It certainly should and deservedly so but even after a re-write, which is worse in my opinion, most people don't put him in that light.
(also naive, since he really thought he would be killing devils only and believed a cambion )
GOTY.
We saw this with Rise of Skywalker from one political camp, and from Joker in another. Neither film was political, but the people who bring politics into everything can only see politics.
The obvious thing the OP is missing is that it's an RPG, not a novel. The most important character in the RPG is the one you make. So if it's lacking a masculine main character that's YOUR CHOICE.
Hog Legacy is another recent prime example. Ppl just wanted to cancel it cause of JK Rowling.
(though HL is actually a weak RPG )

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

24 caramels, unwrapped (from 14-oz bag)
2 tablespoons half-and-half
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted

3 Meanwhile, in microwavable bowl, microwave caramels and half-and-half uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring once, until caramels are melted. Spoon about 1 teaspoon caramel into indentation of each cookie. Cool 15 minutes.
4 Drizzle with melted chocolate; sprinkle with salt. Let stand about 15 minutes or until chocolate is set.
