Why Perilous Stakes got nerfed?

It went from (one of) the most broken abilities to quasi worthless, which honestly is fair considering how many broken things this game has

Least to me, nothing other than honour exists anymore. Actually fantastic changes thusfar, and I'm sure more will come.

There isn't much you could change about it to make it less broken, other than what they did, which basically deleted it.
Even if it only worked for 1 attack it'd be broken.

Well, it would be if it didn't impose ironman...well luckily there are mods for that...

I can live with ironman, though if the game saves into a glitch softlock, I'm rolling back.

Well, what bothers me is that it's not just a checkbox you can tick (possibly even on all difficulties). This way knowing myself I would feel obligated to at least try and put myself under stress that I don't really want anymore when playing a game...
I know, kinda silly and probably mostly a me problem, but it is what it is...^^

It isn't just you - Ironman should ALWAYS be a check box.

It was never supposed to be used on enemies . And it’s not useless I have used it on my monk many times to fully regain health. With 8-10 hits a round I can pretty much heal to full with it.

But just like with knockbacks it was never supposed to trivialize boss encounters

Coming from you!?? All you do is trivialize encounters and post in every single thread here. In fact I don't think there's a single thread in this forum where you haven't said 'I two shotted X' or 'I 1 shotted Y'. How is that NOT trivializing boss encounters.

I do, but all my builds are with intended mechanics, not one shot Cazador with a pushback from Eldrich blast and not using an ability that is clearly meant to be means to heal yourself as a boss debuff.

And if you are following my posts as you appear to know me so much, you also know I also vouch for harder difficulties and more
