Open it up, every single thing in the game is described.
Lower right corner
I use the combat log but it does not show Dice rolls afaik, I cannot see any option to enable a more detailed log either.
No need to snipe from the sidelines, move on go breathe some air
lol
I hate those. I accept them with games made for kids. But even most games for kids have better tutorials than those... well... the majority of good games... gah, too many bad games nowadays.
That would be too much. But you sure can ask within the modding scene about such.
You realise there is no Dice roll log in the combat log, I was hoping maybe I had missed something and there was an extended log (with the dice rolls) but no there is not.
So my question was valid, you just jumped in the chat to have a quick snarky & childish response. Thanks for being that person.
There is tho. You have to Mouse Over the line you want to look at, then it shows a pop up with all the numbers.
Solasta does it and it's not too much. It's just max. two lines showing you each number in the corner of the screen that went into the roll. I don't see what the issue with that is really. It's a reasonable request.
The BG3 combat log isn't great cause as you mouse over it sometimes it jsut doesen't display the roll window.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ why is this fanbase so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hostile to anyone with a slight issue? I get these forums get brigaded by contrarians but no reason to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to people asking reasonable questions about features other D&D based games have that aren't highlighted by the game.
Solasta has a different audience.
I can understand maybe having the toggle option in UI settings, if ppl really want to customize further. But by default, it needs to stay a bit cleaner.
It's not just a "Tav Rolled 20", it's "Tav Rolled 20 + 2 (Proficiency) + 3 Dexterity + 1 Enchantment + 3 (Blessing 1D4) + Etc etc"
Then
Damage : Tav Rolled 12 + 3 Dexterity + 1 Enchantment......
Thats just for the first direct line, then there's the extra damage riders like class traits, equipment that adds elemental.
A single attack already fills up a few lines, even in the current Summary form, it scrolls up really fast with all the rolls and damage, saving throws, conditions applied (thank goodness it pauses scrolling when you hover)
I applaud if they add a custom option for extended, but also don't see how anyone can play like that.

Imagine every time you attack something this pops up. Would be hell to navigate and look at things that happened previously.
The OP was asking about a feature that very well exists in the game, as - just now - demonstrated by Recjawjind. And if someone asks for something that exists (and already in great detail) then well, what do you think? Additionally, the way the original text is worded it sounds quite as the OP didn't see that a combat log even exists, therefore raising the question if he just never opened the log/clicked on that one single button on the left. If he *intended* to ask something different (i.e. "Is there a way to have the detailed rolls shown all the time by default?") then it should have been written different/in that way - but (and that's the important part) it isn't. Write clear questions, I never *assume* what anyone might have intended, I just read. Ask something that is clearly in the game and easy to see then I assume trolling.
