Make a backup, turn off cloud saving, exit to menu. Delete new save, copy old save back in.
Alt F4 and killing via task manager both save the game at the point where you do it. Forced Restart of your PC reverts you to the last save prior to restarting.
Not in my experience.
I have more 5e spells, more bags, respec elf cantrip and a few others and I'm still getting achievements.
If Larian had added the same mechanics and combat difficulty to the custom mode, no one would need to try and cheat around the one-save system.
The truth is majority of people don't want an achievement or golden Die, they simply want to play with the new mechanics without fear of losing progress. The other half of the people feel like they need to backup their saves in case of a crash or game breaking glitch.
There's also so many ways to just cheese the game even in honour mode, that it should never be indicative of one player's prowess or perseverance. Taking it too serious is even more pathetic
lol exactly, achievement chasers.
I agree... and I have my golden dice without cheating, cheese, or exploits. But this game really isn't a hardcore game, it's really all about shts'n'giggles.
