It’s just like tactician- the game auto saves on the exact same spots and doesn’t auto save during combat or after rolls.
It autosaves when you exit the game and you only have one save that overrides itself however you can still go around it by starting combat and when it doesn’t go your way reboot the system and load form the save before the fight .
Ah, that's pretty simple and effective.
Thanks.
I did figure you could probably crash the game and get around it, or just desynch your saves from the steam cloud after each session so you'll still have access to an old save.
Also circumventable, but only for slightly more tech savy people, like that game where you have a virtual pet that dies if you quit the game, and stays dead even if you reinstall the game, and you need to get rid of the registry key to make it forget
It really shouldn’t be that difficult to do it like this , I’m guessing it has to do with the fact the game likes to pause for few seconds during autosaves and will annoy people to have a force pause every turn
And now we enter the next pointless armsrace that's ultimately meaningless...in the end you just spoof a packet to steam to give you the achievement, and next you'll see someone will write a special program that does that for every game...^^
I mean sure, there are people who use these things for educational purposes, but can we just skip the stupid armsrace and accept, that achievements tell nobody nothing, however doing the achievement yourself, can still give you yourself a sense of fullfillment...for having done it....because in the end that's the only thing they are good for. Not for getting recognition from others, but for you yourself recognizing you have done something.
Anything clientside, the user can do whatever they want with, if they have the tools and/or know-how.
Could also just make a CE table that sends you straight to the credits.
Look up on Google how to do it.
First of all, there is no save scumming, you are playing your own game in Single Player mode.
You should be able to play it the way you want it without anyone dictating you how you should play it.
If anyone wishes to play Iron man mode, go ahead, use only one save and there you go, you are playing Iron man mode.
I'll beat it without out-of-game cheese (maybe some ingame cheese though :3) because thats just what I enjoy
But if you knew the name of the hidden save file (hint: ls -a), then you could make a copy of it with a different name. No more "permadeath".
On PC, anyway, the same strategy probably works. If you want to have no honor.
