no good ending for durge?
so it looks like if you accept becoming Bhaal's chosen after defeating orin in the duel you either dominate netherbrain for Bhaal, or destroy it and Bhaal makes durge complete murder hobo and in the epilogue, you kill your entire camp.

honestly i wish there was good ending while becoming Bhaal's chosen, after all you can still murder people and retain your sanity like in previous acts...🤷‍♀️

Why would you expect a good ending for staying a Bhaalspawn?

Their entire purpose for existing is to kill everyone that lives and then commit suicide.

>Embracing the god of literal murder, Bhaal, fully
>Wants good ending
?? That don't track

It makes a lot of sense this way. Durge remembering who they are, and fully giving themselves to Bhaal turns them into a murdering monster that's lost the willpower to fight back.

Another note: the datamined durge epilogue is a little darker. States that durge became a monster breeding slave to create more BhaalSpawn.

If durge didn't take over the netherbrain, then they actively chose to disobey dad's orders. He is *angry* and it's shown in the cutscene after the defeat of the brain when bhaals blade appears in the urges hand. That means it's over for them. Bhaal takes over as punishment for not doing what they were supposed to do.

I'm not sure what you expected?

They seem to have kept this in the current one, although it isn't as explicit:
"You worship with your diseased embrace - siring a mad legion."

You remember the darkside ending for Kotor? Showing Revan's return as the dark lord. It was pretty epic. I'm guessing OP was wanting something along those lines.

The only way to do that would be to reject Bhaal. Otherwise, you're just a murderous meat puppet.

That's pretty much the broad theme of the game, really. Every character deals with the option to either be a puppet for an evil oppressor or struggle against that oppressor in order to strive to do better.

Yeah but Revan wasn't the avatar of the God of Murder, created from the flesh of said god and subservient to them. The "return of the dark lord" in BG3's case would be heralding Bhaal and his plans for mass murder.

Why would Bhaal strike a deal with their own creation? The Bhaalspawn are a tool of Bhaal, not just followers or even high ranking priests.

The deal with bhaal was taking over the netherbrain for him and they didn't do it, they already blew any chance at a deal.

If they kill themself after the netherbrain they even have a small cutscene, but no suicide, then they will lose their sanity as punishment. It's very clearly shown and narrated this will happen.

i didnt kill isobel or my lover, i thought maybe those choices matter in the end since i denied bhaal before.
