Patch 5 bugged graphics?

Hi. I was wondering: did patch 5 borked graphics for anyone else? In the final area before the final boss fight, there are black textures everywhere and some of those that are not black are extremely low res.

Granted, I have a slightly old laptop, but I didn't encounter any graphics problems like this up until this point on medium settings.

it happened me as well but after re-entering game everything was fixed so idk whats causing the issue

I have the same problem. Before it was only in the end game part but now it's also on the beginning of the act 3 im my other save.

The same Problem man, in the beggining of low city in baldur'sgate, low resolution and black textures, i cant' play like this, how we solve the issue?

When I start a saved game or even a new game All I get for the PC/NPC icon's is an empty box and to top it off its on the right side of their name where it used to be on the left.

I got the exact same problem. I loaded a save in Act 1 as well as Act 3 and the graphics are still messed up. Rebooted the game, still messed up.

If you have mods, purging them works until they get updated for the new patch. Sadly this is the only fix ive discovered so far :(

I verify the integrity of the game files and that fixed it!

Also, I want to add something I discovered recently. The issues I'm having seem to start after the scene with your allies. Before triggering it, if I move the camera inside the building and in the area beyond, it looks fine.

I'm getting black textures and some instances of vertex explosions in act 3.
Also some major stuttering (unnatural stutter, like the game freezes for 3 segs every couple of minutes) only in the lower city area, but I only got to it after patch 5 so idk if it was like that before.

same for me, i have verified the integrity but black textures are still here ...i'm so sad :(

try to load older save then reload your current save, it fixed black textures for me

Identical issue here. Tried cleaning the cache and uninstalling and reinstalling, unfortunately neither fixes working. The game would initially look really good but the problems (black textures and other texture issues) seemed to trigger after going through a loading screen or after dialogue with an npc.
