PSA - Recruiting Minthara On A Good Playthrough

A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT regarding Patch #5 enabling Minthara to be recruited while siding with Halsin and Zevlor;

Minthara will still appear in ACT 2 if she was knocked out in Act I.

When you are ready to wipe out the entire Goblin camp; in order to recruit Minthara you have to first make her Temporarily Hostile by committing a crime next to her and then non-lethally knock her out. Despite the journal mentioning she died, continue to slaughter everyone in the Goblin camp in order to save the Tieflings and the Grove.

Once you eventually reach ACT II with everyone saved; Minthara can be found in Moonrise Towers being judged by General Ketheric Thorm where you can recruit her. She and Halsin will both be chilling at camp after she's been rescued.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES knock Minthara out without the TEMPORARILY HOSTILE tag under her healthbar, otherwise she will not spawn in ACT II.

Honestly, all I want out of Minthara is a 10th companion, and someone who doesn't look like Spock. Well, not EXACTLY like him, anyway. Granted, I AM trying to find the largest group of romantic partners I can put together, but most of them don't seem to like to share.

old save file should be good. i did it on an old file too

So the thing Larian should have included since the games launch got patched in, near december. When Larian claimed they finished the game in august. Sorry, how are we supposed to be all simping for Larian when they have to keep patching just to get content working that should have been fully playable since launch. Jesus, 13 years ago if EA did this they would have been crucified like with Mass Effect 3. But I guess since its Larian and people have no standards anymore its now ok.

So it's the ultimate Good Character arc for Minthara. Rediscovering Paladin virtues. That means no sex until a proper marriage ceremony is conducted.

Joking aside it actually is amazing to finally have an official Paladin on a good playthrough

I just wish, they make it possible to romance her without killing the people in the grove. The only way to romance her right know is to play an way infirior path that locks you out of many quests and feels very unrewarding in Act 2. Why should i wipe out the Grove for people that don't appreciate it?

Can you still cure the shadow curse if you recruit her?

Just wanted to make sure if I use an old pre patch save right before minthara encounter I can still knock her out to recruit her in act 2 ? Or is a new save needed ?

Nope, you turned her fully hostile by telling her she is your prey. She has to be Temporarily Hostile by committing a crime next to her.

Also Patch #4 saves work fine for this, it is how I tested it so quickly.
