Question about honor mode

The patch notes say that if you die in honor mode you can keep playing, what Im wondering is that if you die in honor mode does it keep the other changes or does it just switch you back to tactician? I'm not interested in a perma death kinda gamemode but the other changes look interesting.

My first thought is that the game will say it when failing Honour Mode, but I haven't played the patch yet. I'm here between tedious, time-consuming tasks at work.

I'll need to start Honour mode and fail instantly to see what happens.

Hopefully you can continue but with the same challange and the new boss mechanics in fights. It would be sad if it disable the new features aswell if you die.

Yeah this is what im hoping for aswell, I wish they would make honor mode a check box and rename honor mode to tactician +.

That might confuse people into thinking it's switchable with the others during a campaign. Honour Mode is set at the start of a campaign and can't be turned off except by failing.

It doesn't seem likely that the game will go to custom mode because there's too many variables. But there's an easy way to find out: start a new game and die right away.

My current playthrough is on a older patch and I dont like updating mid playthough, so I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

Ok turns out I'm wrong. When you die it asks you to end the campaign or relad the save save in Custom difficulty. Just confirmed that with a new game.

Does it still keep the legendary actions and all the other parts of honor mode?
