Honor Mode vs Custom mode

I already have one question
I would like to play Honor mode because the difficulty is higher now but without permadeath

so i was wondering if on Custom mode now, if you set up all settings on tactician without permadeath, is it the same difficulty as Honor mode ?

I mean, Boss extra skills etc... ?

Doesn’t seem so it doesn’t let you customize everything.
And you don’t get the golden dice this way as a reward

sounds like you can continue playing if you die in honour mode, just disables getting the golden d20.

There is such an option but without the added tweaks of Honour mode, i.e. Tactician.

There is no honor in being immortal.
And you can play it- you just lose the golden dice reward

you can continue playing in honour mode once you die , whats the difference ?

If you die in Honour Mode, you can keep continuing your game but it will not be in Honour Mode anymore.

I don't see a new achievement for Honour mode, I guess they won't bother adding it ?

^that, doesn't seem to be a way to have the new difficulty with custom, as least as it currently shows in the options. I want the difficulty, don't care about the dice reward or the permadeath.

I sincerely hope honor mode is actually hard (to the point where I'll fail runs), once I actually have the bloody thing downloaded xd
Steam decided it was time to re-download the entire game, so I guess it'll be a while before I get to try :(

it keeps you locked in single save while auto saving during combat though making it very easy to soft lock
