Motherboards will usually have protections and in extreme cases may shutdown the system to protect the CPU.
Also you may want to check if there's a crash report in the larian folder, though if its an instant shutoff i doubt there will be
You meant anything but your power supply unit.
Two months back I replaced a Corsair 750 platinum which was randomly turning my PC off on Total War Warhammer 3 but absolutely fine on Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings. But good luck finding the cause of what is making your PC turn itself off.
Graphics intense =/= CPU demanding. Hence the questions started with your CPU not GPU
You need as step #1 to install a CPU/GPU monitor program (I use MSI Afterburner) and check your temps on all the the CPU and GPU.
I have found CPU usage is very high, but look at the graph and if it is not pegged at %100 all the time, it should be ok. Pay special attention to the temps though.
Just because other games run fine, does not mean this one will. Do the homework and be sure.
Also check your Windows crash and system logs to see if there is any information in those as to what caused the failure.
Good Luck.
clean your fans and check if airfow is still right
That does not count as "brand new".
Besides, you can botch the setup of your PC within minutes after you got it in its default setup.
