Cannot find command spell option, wizard

Hi I have a gnome wizard and am on act 1, I am trying to find the command spell (looking to cast halt command) options under my wizards spell list but I cannot find the spell from my list of spells available when pressing the "K" key.

My character is lvl 5 pure wizard 17 int, am I missing something?

Command isn't on the wizard spell list, that's why you can't find it. Wizards can't learn every spell.

If you REALLY want your wizard to have Command, you could probably get it with the Magic Initiate (Cleric) feat, but will need decent Wisdom for it to work

At that point, just take a 1 level dip in cleric. Gets you all armor proficiencies too while you're at it.
In the end, the cost is 1 ASI (and delaying your wizard spell progression by 1 level, but thats not a big deal since the games too easy as is)

Yeah, you're right, it's the better option. Mystra would probably make the most sense as the choice of deity :)
