You are on point with that.
Read the instructions of the mods properly.
* Uninstall
* Delete the "Larian Studios" folder (after copying out your save files) that is located in AppData\local directory.
* Install
* Copy your save files back in (they may no longer work) or just start a fresh campaign
Let me know if you need to know where the Larian Studios folder is exactly (it is not in Steam\Common).
I can't find the Larian Studios folder. I don't have anything on my local disk that references that or BG3
\Users\Your_Name_Here\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story
Enter %AppData% into your Explorer address bar. It will put you into the Roaming directory, so bounce up one level and then you can path down through Local. :)
After copying your saves out and uninstalling, it is the entire Larian Studios directory you want to delete.
My pleasure. :)
Also, be sure to disable Cloud Saves and limit your Autosaves and Quicksaves. They can pile up quickly and are very large.
Anyway, hoping this works as i keep getting odd flashing coloured lights in my BG3 game screen, so i can not see any in game actions. Oddly my game worked smoothly all through early Access and up until late October .. since then odd fragments .. artifacts.
Any suggestions would be wonderful thanks.
Put %AppData% into your explorer Address Bar. This will take you to AppData\Roaming directory. Bounce up one directory and then you can access the Local one.
AppData is one of those Hidden Directory / Hidden Files locations. You can see it if you enable the ability in the Explorer View Options/Settings. Or can just go there directly using the %AppData% address shortcut. :)
The 'Larian Studios' folder is not related to the Steam part of the installation. It exists solely as part of the BG3 runtime and is NOT deleted when the game is uninstalled.
