I need something for a high persuasion Bard for my 3rd playthrough.
Honestly to find Drow for the 2nd playthrough i just googled ”Which race has the best dialogue BG3”
But i would not do the same race twice, The dialogue options need to be different each runthrough
I’m already a hot gnome in real life.
Well, short Scotsman
Fastball special is so old school.
Have you considered the Glider special? Your barbarian friend throws your shortstack over the enemies’ head. While you’re in the air, deploy as many fireball scrolls as you can.
Deploy all the scrolls.
Land and receive the judges vote, while the enemies burn to a crisp, ready to take in melee the rearguard.
The Glider special is a deep strike technique with advantage, counterpoint to most of the standard approaches to combat from an enemy with superior numbers, avoiding at the same time the danger of attritional warfare: it may require some training in asymmetrical warfare, but imo, the glider special is superior in any way to the outdated fastball.
OP: play drow.
I'm at my 4th drow playthrough, and I think it will be last: I've reached a point where I've a backstory for all of them, tied togerther with their clan and family background. Play drow.
They're also the ONLY race aside from Dwarves that STARTS with Medium Armor Proficiency, in addition to having proficiency with Short, Long, and Great swords.
- So yeah, if you want to make a sword-swinging magic caster who can wear Medium Armor from level 1, Githyanki is the way to go.
There's also the free Githyaniki psionics, but most of them are only 1 use per long rest, so they aren't all that impressive as the rest of their racial bonuses :P
Oh, ans since you're a Gith, you get all of the special interactions with Githyanki NPCs without having to tote Lazeal around ini your party lol
If you keep playing the same you will miss out on other stuff. Try a gnome instead and be surprised.
Everyone elsr kinda sucks, unless you're playing a caster who needs light armor and shield proficiency, in which case there are half wood elfs.
