Is it possible to destroy the steel watch if I killed Gortash during coronation?
This is my second playthrough, this one is a Dark urge one. On my 1st playtrough, I saved the gondians and destroyed the forge, and the steel watchers all dropped.
But on this one, I decided to try something new:
I killed Gortash during his coronation. Yeah, it was hard, and cheese was needed. Like very very hard. But it is done now. And welll... I Had an unpleasant surprise arriving into town: the foundry has been destroyed and the steel guard is still running.

So my question: is it possible to disable the steel watch, in those conditions?

Thx all of you

Killing Gortash during his coronation causes a number of bugs in act 3, I'm pretty sure you're not meant to do that.
Not sure about what happens to the Iron Throne prison either if you kill Gortash first.

My recommendation, don't kill Gortash at the Coronation, you'll just run into bug after bug if you do that.

Thanks. For now, I have not encountered those bugs, but the world is different. In an interresting way. And I now understand what happened to the foundry. So my question is now kinda moot.
I do thank you for your advice, but in that case, it was a deliberate choice, and I will stick to it.
Larian did think of this outcome, because obviously some of us would have wanted to try that challenge! And while it is obviously not the meant way of advancing the game, they did provide us with a viable path after that choice.

Larian didn't think anyone would do that, but there's a lot of things Larian didn't anticipate. Act 3 wasn't in early access, but came with the full game release last August. Players didn't get a chance to break it early.

Well. Thanks again, but...
I differ from your opinion, and it is not what I asked.
Larian did actually plan for this. I have proof because I am playing in that very configuration right now.
That there are bugs is possible, I am not far enough in this to have met them. Some quests are broken, granted, but I have chosen this route and I will accept the bugs if they are not too bad. Also, those might get a patch sometime in the future.

But it is not what I asked. That you do not know the answer to my question is not a problem.
If you don't know, you are not required or forced to try to answer. I won't blame you for not knowing. I might even have found out on my own already.

TLDR: the steel watchers don't attack me anymore, they taunt me but don'tmove even if I kill everyone in front of them, because the being in control of them is now a temporary ally of mine :-)

Peace.

My favourite was doing combat with Gortash downstairs without ever triggering coronation or any cutscene.
He came down with some of his goons, but the steelwatch all got stuck upstairs.
Combat took a while to go through all those watchers, but it was an interest alternative approach
