Larian itself has never released actual DLCs in their games before.
There have been talks about it in game interviews with devs, but tnothing that would indicate they will totally do a DLC.

However they expressed there will most likely be smaller things like the gift bags in DOS2. If they come via normal patches or as mini dlcs wasn't clear, however they would almost certainly be free.
Though I could imagine that with the success, wotc will try to put some pressure on Larian to make more...
I've heard they had for their games before DOS, though from my side that's just hearsay. I never doublechecked it. But their last 2 games before BG3 didn't really have paid DLC in the sense of bigger expansions (wasn't sir Lora paid DLC at some point?)
