It's bonkers... trying to group/ungroup my party takes 10-15 seconds or more to respond and several times I've had all of the NPCs and non-selected party members just freeze in place (for several minutes) while I run around with the party leader.

I know in some games, the more stuff you accumulate, the more it bogs down the speed of your game. Also sometimes people accumulate a ton of saves which takes up a lot of space and I guess resources. Not saying this is the issue in this game though. I'm into Act III and haven't really noticed a difference yet but i'm only halfway through the Lower city.

That is why I am taking my time this play through to get to ACT 3 hoping that Larian fixes that for which they broke with the last patch. Also I want to do a solo Tactician run which I don't think will be to bad.

This play through I've done everything in the Under dark and getting ready to head to the forge. After all I have a head to deliver.

Didn't P{atch 4 just release along with an hotfix? Damn, will you guys keep complaining over the hollidays as well for patches?

No. Patch 4 was November 2nd. Hotfix 11 was November 17th. Today is November 24/25th (depending on your time zone). Whatever ~500MB patch I just downloaded is neither of those things, and not patch notes are available for it.

So 3 weeks sicne last patch and you're already angry? Damn and I encourage you to read the patchnotes again because a ton of things changed.

Mod support is coming down the line so chill as well, teh game released 4 month ago and devs have been pushing patches eversince. brace yourself as they will very probably take a , welld deserved I might add, vacation fopr the hollidays.

There's people behind those lines of code and they deserve resdpect or, at least, they don't deserve your crap.

When a patch makes act 3 unplayble(1/3 of the game), then people have a right to ask when its going to get fixed. Usually something like that gets hotfixed quick, but its been 3 weeks with no word except they aware of it.
