is vulkan broken for anyone else?

I've come across several graphic glitches like that since the last patch, but I don't know if it has anything to do with vulkan. My comp runs badly on dx11, so I've never tested it out.

Vulkan doesn't even run on my PC. It's an immediate CTD.

The Romulans have also mixed feelings about Vulkan!

It was working fine on Vulkan until the end of act 2. Now it doesn't work. I am ok with playing on D11, but would like Vulkan to work.

I'm on Linux, Ubuntu 10.23, Nvidia 3080, drivers 535.

I'll try to verify the game files and try again. When the game crashed on Vulkan, it ask to send in a crash report to Larian. Hope it gets fixed.

For me Vulkan runs like butter while DirectX runs choppy.

I verified the files and it crashed again. I wonder if a reinstall would help.

V4.Skunk are you passed act 2 of the game? That is when it started to fail for me.

Works for me just fine in solo, any time we try to use it for split-screen co-op, it crashes to desktop as soon as the second player joins.

What is Vulkan? And what is Direct X even? I've never really known what either of them are.

Well, more like a translator between your game and your hardware. Both are APIs (Application Programming Interface). It unifies the commands that get send via the driver to the hardware, so the game itself doesn't need to be programmed for hundreds of diferent hardware versions etc. Well, this is at least the simplified answer...;)

it was the same for me before whatever patch did it, it's not a huge deal I can still play the game in DX but I stopped playing for about a month and came back to this issue
