🤣🤣🤣
It’s pointless to swear an oath to something when you can just respec or even buy yourself back for some pitiful sum.
I usually have almost 10 000 gold by the time I finish act 1 so the 1000g is already trivial even in act 1 let alone the other acts where I end the game with 40 000-50 000 g on average without even trying hard
I'd give you a clown award if I could.
No. You have to pay the price for breaking the oath.
Correct.
This is about wanting to be an Oathbreaker subclass while still able to change your stats and feats. Other paladins can change their oath whenever they feel like it, and you can easily game around not breaking oaths even when making decisions that would break it otherwise. The 1100g are hardly a consequence when you can pickpocket 3000 gold from a single vendor every day.
It makes no sense from a roleplay or lore perspective to break your oath for a good reason and then flipflop on whether you really want it back or you don't just because you might want to try using different stats or feats. From a gameplay perspective it's just needlessly convoluted when you could simply ask the Oathbreaker NPC if you can restart your paladin levels for 100 or 1000g without restoring your oath.
