Radija is not a true soul
She seems to have disdain for True souls and is not one. Why is she there? Did I miss some story about her? Beat the game multiple times and still have no idea why she has such an important role.

Sure. There are tons of buddies in Moonrise without tadpoles. I don't understand what are they talking about here. All True Souls are well known, you either receive tadpoles from their corpses or "gift of absolute" if you deal with them peacefully.

She is almost like a Gatekeeper or bodyguard for K though. I assume he would want to tadpole those just for piece of mind.

Also there is a convo you can have where she feels disdain or disgust for the true soul and the cult.

Maybe all the more reason for Kethric to have her close to him. A true soul under Absolute's control can always become a vessel for betrayal by the other 2 chosen.
Same thing with your second paragraph. If she is indeed a Kethric loyalist, no reason for her to admire true souls.
The cult is a front for control by the 3 chosen. It isn't real faith. True souls are simple mind slaves under absolute's control.
If i was Kethric i would also prefer someone close and loyal to me, to be aware of the facade.

This is if we really want to read this much into a secondary or actually tertiary supporting character.

She’s there so you can kill her , duh just like everyone else

Yup, I also wondered that. She could be Ketheric's apprentice and\or a follower of Myrkul, since she's a necromant and carries Myrkulite Scourge flail on her.

Who cares about the stories of these corpses?

I thought of that and your are probably right. Her disdain for them all is interesting since her god is part of the plan.

Yeah, the fact that she is the ONLY non true soul there led me to believe they would explain it. To my knowledge they don't.

Uhhh are you forgetting balthazaar?
Anima Mundi Nov 24, 2023 @ 7:58am
huh? I mean there are a lot of ppl doing labour at the absolute cult that don't have a tadpole. the merchants don't for example. Balthazaar is a flesh pile doesn't need one either.

True souls were created as ways to exert influence and leadership. I don't think everyone working for the cause would need a tadpole. Logistically that would take a long time too. Imagine how many tadpoles would be needed and the time it would take to incubate all of them and insert them into all the goblins in the goblin camp

I thought she was some kind of spy and that we would be able to get her on our side, but nah.

Well, he is undead to start with, and clearly someone who influenced Thorm, not a underling . He is also a main character in the story unlike her, so the fact that she has a somewhat unique trait and is placed close to the top of the tower led me to expect SOME explanation.

I don't expect her to be a true soul, but she said something that made me think she didn't believe the Absolute stuff. I can't remember what it was or why I thought that, though. xD

Yeah, well all the true followers of the dead 3 are not tappoled. The grand plan was to turn followers of the other faiths against there own gods (true souls) and/or deny the other gods a soul by turning the person in a mindflayer.

All the black hands of Bane & assassins of Bhaal are tadpole less

Its more of her location and role. She is not a follower of the Absolute and seems not to line them.
Plus she is somewhat in a place of honor.

Most of the other none true souls are still cult followers or Merchants playing at it for sales.
