cant get past intro (game is too hard)

when i crashland the alien spaceship and meet that girl npc near the door at the beginning of the game i get attacked by 3 walking brain monsters and my charather and the girl gets killed 10 times in a row now, i am a fighter soldier class and i dont understand do i attack only with basic attack or do i have more powerful abilities ? i literraly died 10 times in a row now and the game is not fun at all.
if you think its a skill issue i have many hours in wow and wow classic, did raids etc... i should be able to handle this game right ? :D

Not sure you are honest, or did you start on the most difficult setting without knowing the games mechanics?
You click on an enemy and you walk up and attack. There are special attacks in your tool bar you can use to attack with depending on skills, weapona dn feat. Beginning, you have very few options. Even basic attacking should kill those three no problems. Lazeal alone kills them with ease unless you have a serious bout with Larian's dice engine that maybe just hates you.

its impressive that a fighter of all classes is losing in a melee fight to the easiest fight outside of the tutorial.

literally just pick a target, kill it, repeat, don't spread your damage.

hell, from where they start you basically have a full round to do ranged attacks on them before they reach you, use that.

im on medium difficulty and i really cant defeat those brain monsters, i even picked a race thiefling yellow (that one that is better suited for melee damage). dont know what is going on here.

Clearly a git gud problem here. Use stealth with Shadowheart and blow up the nautiloid tank with a firebolt shot and it will badly damage or take out one of the 3 intellect devourers.

yeah i found a guide on youtube that is 1 hour and 30 minutes long and i will watch it all before playing.

well assume this is legit question. the chance are you got your character starting ability score wrong.

if you use str base weapon, max your starting strength. Shadowheart early game is more on support side. don't waste your spellslots on like guiding bolt as you have limited spellslots. use bless which increase your hit chance. don't rush in and let them come. start by attack them with range weapon.

its hard to believe for myself but i am completely new to dungeon and dragons table game and baldurs gate 3 here is just overwhelming right now. world of warcraft is much simpler, i played this whole summer in whitemane maelstrom private cata server and did raids and heroic dungeons mostly. and now here in this game im a total noob lol :D

I cant even remember any brain monster attacking me in the tutorial? They only attack you if you attack them. You can actually get one as a companion for a while. The first monsters you have to fight properly are the flying devils. The tutorial is very easy to get through.

The first and most important thing you should realise in this game is you dont attack everything on sight lol.

Its after you crashed the nautoloid and meet shadowheart, then there are three brains in the way shortly after.

Oh yes in the crash site I remember now. That is actually after the intro.
