Astarion's romance scene in Act 3 doesn't work

After completing his personal quest and gaining his approval back at the camp, he did not asked me to go walk with him (to trigger the romance scene at cemetery). And I think this is because at the start of Act 3 I bought the key for an Elfsong Tavern's 2nd floor and it has become my squad's personal camp during Act 3. And because the camp is outdoors Astarion didn't ask me to go with him at the cemetery, while in other gamers' walkthroughs the camp was outdoors (as always been in all Acts before) and Astarion always asked to go walk with him. Is there any solution to that problem?? (Apart from restarting Act 3 and not purchase that camp version on tavern's 2nd floor)

Well I've had that scene twice with the room rented, so it's not that. You might have to spam rest. I had to do that to get Gale's romance scene to trigger in Act 2.

Are you sure? I've tried to initiate 3 long rests and my teammate's character even got the scene with Lae'zel (the one with looking at sunset) but no more talks with Astarion.... And everyone in all guides said that this conversation must be initiated as soon as possible when you completed the quest and make a long rest... so idk if spamming it will solve the problem

Yes, I always rent that room asap. If you are in multiplayer it may also be prioritising the other player. I'm doing a multiplayer game where I have not been able to romance anyone, but the other person has. In that game Astarion asked my character for sex in act 1, then never showed up. Maybe he's shy, lmao.

ah, I also had a scene in Act 1, but then nothing and my friend tried to romance both Minthara and Lae'zel and almost had all scenes with them. Anyway thanks for the reply, I guess I'll leave that very scene with Astarion for my second walkthrough ;)

That's weird too, since Minthara does not want to share. :D Anyway, gl with Astarion in your next game. Picking him at the party in act 1 and keeping his approval up should do the trick.

I just had the scene yesterday while in the rented Elfsong rooms.
Idk if it's related, but did you get the scene where the other spawn try to kidnap Astarion at night (it updates the quest)? I went to Kazador's after that scene, then while inside the palace I checked whether Astarion has anything to say every now and then. After Kazador's been killed, I made sure all Astarion talk is exhaused before going to bed.

Unfortunately I didn't have that kidnap scene you're talking about, I actually heard about it for the first time...( However during Kazador's quest while in his mansion I've been clicking on Astarion very often and must've heard all he had to say. But no scene in the rented room-camp after the quest is finished. Pity, but thanks for the remark, it'll be useful in the next walkthrough.

It's hard to say with this game's obscure cutscene priorities, but maybe missing the kidnapping attempt locked you out of the romance scene :\

The only thing that might be relevant is that I reached the Kazador's palace doors and the quest got updated with smth like "the doors unlocked, it seems we're expected" or some such thing. However, I did not enter but went about other quests. I finished many (most?) optional quests by the time I went on with Kazador, but I have not disabled the Steel Watch though and have not taken the submersible (I'm postponing the main quest).

I don't think this should matter though, you prolly should get the kidnapping scene after several nights in the city anyway.

BTW, if you only had a scene with Astarion in Act 1 and not since then, you are not romancing him. Is that what you meant when you said you had a scene in Act 1 and nothing since then?

One way to check if the game has progressed a romance is to click on Withers. He will tell you.

I had a scene in Act 1 and after that, during 2nd Act I almost always talked with Astarion as new voicelines open, trying to gain his approval all the time. Then in Act 3 I chose all 3 correct answers about Astarion's wishes/pecularities during conversation with fortuneteller (or whoever she was) at the circus square, which also make Astarion's approval higher. But I didn't have his kidnap scene and so after Kazador's elf didn't invite me to cemetery to have second scene with him

Did you get the scene in Act 2 where he says something like he was using you but now he feels differently? I think it happens after meeting the Drow in Moonrise or after you kill the Orthon for Raphael.

Other than that, I've seen people posting that Astarion's ACT 2 and 3 scenes are not triggering since the latest patch.
