Any updates on if they would consider a new game plus?
Anyone have any information if it's something their considering or is it just a for sure no?

Like I want to play through again and see more different dialog s from different characters, get some of the items I probably missed, get multiple copies of different items to gear out my roster BUT, I don't really feel like going through each barrel and every single optional quest line again just to gear up for multiple play throughs.

I don't really care about keeping levels... I was already lv 12 in act 2... It's very fast to lv up.

Just start a new game. No one is telling you to open every barrel in the game
There's mods that add all gear in a chest on the Nautiloid.

It wouldn't work well in the designed game progression to have all gear.
BG3 becomes extremely easy with its OP homebrew equipment. Your best bet is the described mod

I doubt it. The game has no level scaling, nor any character progression past level 12, making it an especially poor fit for a new game plus mode.

Not to mention, the devs have never made a new game plus mode for any game they have made, even the two that are mechanically very similar to BG3. Moreover, the feature is rarely seen outside of JRPGs, and BG3 is pretty much the antithesis of JRPG design.

Awesome, that's perfect. I just want to play through again and read through more dialog while keeping gear so I can do different builds and enjoy the combat. I will have to look for that mod.

Also they could just make a new game+ mode and make every mob level 9 to 12.... That would be interesting. for a new game plus mode.

probably low chance, its not really the type of game for ng+ to be in

There's 12 levels, and you can get 8 of them in act 1.

No, no they don't unless you mod it.

As for BG 3, how would that work exactly? There's 12 levels, 8 of which can be done in act 1.

Equipment? Then there'd be little point exploring or doing side quests, a lot of said side quests are tied into main story.

Makes sense in day Witcher 3 as it's levelling system and scaling works with it.

It's just so you could acquire multiple copies of equipment, try out different builds and just allowing you to keep your characters so you can enjoy more battles without having to restart. Perhaps you even missed items and you wished you got them, but you don't want to lose all of your current gear. Mainly just gold + gear, no levels.

That's not really a thing that makes sense in a game like this.

Instead, what we need is a Dungeon Creator.

I like the idea, but not to carry everything from one game to another.

Maybe you could respect fully (race and background included) and keep some perma bonus you got before (like auntie Ethel att bonus) on the respective character that got them (but can’t use a permanent bonus in the same character in the new game+).

Maybe some extra gold is kept (who cares, we steal everything in Bg3 anyway) and 1 or 2 green/blue/purple item you can star the game with (they will not spawn in this playthrough, though, and no legendary).

A PW on BG3? Intriguing, but i don’t know if this kind of bandwidth can be deal privately, by players. This single player game’s already 150GB.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
