I left Astarion and Lae'zel where they spawn, will they show up elsewhere?
For my latest game save, I left Astarion on the beach where he's first seen, without speaking to him, and I left Lae'zel hanging in the cage after she refused to say "please". lol

Will these two present themselves to me again somewhere within Act 1?

The why I did this is that I'm trying a team run with a multi-classed Sorcerer/Bard, Cleric/Rogue, Wizard, and Warlock/Fighter.

edit: Seems my guess was wrong about Lae'zel.

Anyway, it is easy to recruit them to your camp, rather than into your party. If you want to.

If players progress further to the Emerald Grove and trigger the scene at the gates, she will break out of her cage and disappear, killing Damays and Nymessa if they are still alive. She can then be found later on and be recruitable again.

I have read that Lae’zel will show up in mountain pass or act 2 but she might be shadow-cursed/undead

However I’ve never left her so can’t confirm.

Astarion probably should stay on the same place.

Still waiting for someone to fall for the Boar trap?
Perhaps making a little shanty by the beach and eternally sit there feeding on boars

Exactly. He says that he envisioned going it alone, and I don't find him to be all that bright, so having Astarion loitering in that same place for eternity seems on point. lol

Lae'zel appears near the githyanki patrol in Act 1, then her body can be found in the Mountain Pass. Haven't met Astarion except on the beach.

No, the origin characters can only be recruited in Act 1. Progressing past the point-of-no-return in Act 2 you can NEVER get them again. :) Sounds like they're both better off without you recruiting them though. You'd just hate them anyway since they don't bow down to the player's will without some effort beyond existing.

That post is a bit beyond sassy, SKK.

I have both of them in my other 3 game saves, and as well as in every start/test that I've since deleted.

As I said, they aren't with me in the relative save because I built a hybrid party that started outside of their class, but incorporates those classes. ...and, I was just curious if they'd pop up *within Act One*. Kinda like Wyll just appears from nowhere for the first time in Camp, if you save Karlach on your own and longrest without Wyll in the party yet.

And? If you pay attention around here most people just straight up hate on those two specific characters. I'm sorry my telepathy didn't pierce through to see you used them in other playthrus. Illithid powers take a break on tuesdays.

Good for you then not being like the usual pedestrian posters around here. Not Sarcasm this time. Big preesh.

I think they both add flavor to the recipe, and the addition of those personalities also adds an element of realism, but there are just too few party slots.
And, when i decided to pick 3 classes to dip my toes into multi-classing for the first time, I didn't want to include a Fighter or Rogue base, because I'm already very familiar with playing those classes.

I guess it will be interesting to find out the related story with finding Lae'zel's body later on in Act One. I'll probably have to talk to my Psychotherapist (don't actually have one) about this.

If you ignore Astarion on the beach he does appear in act three, after a fashion.

Really! Well I'll look forward to seeing how that transpires too. Thanks
