Magic mirror not working for anyone else?

Every time I try to use the magic mirror I can't press confirm and essentially just have to restart the game, cancelling the changes. Antone else experiencing this?

Are you sure it is not just the time lag?

The game gives NO feedback that the button has been pressed and it can take many minutes for a change to be logged and the game to come back. Especially if doing Hirelings; they take forever. :/

I usually get up and go get a drink while the BG3 system grinds.

You can't press confirm at all or you pressed it once then nothing seems to happen and you can no longer click confirm?

I have the second problem sometimes and it seems like nothing is happening for a while but will eventually work after a minute or two. When this happens I can also hit esc, create a new save, load that save and be back in camp with the changes applied.

I assume its a new bug since this wasn't an issue for me on previous patches.

Generating appearences takes some time.

From the Patch 4 notes:

You can no longer close the Magic Mirror UI until it's finished generating your portraits. This would sometimes mean you could see the HUD but still be on the customisation screen.

Good to know thank you. Knowing that makes me second guess using the save function to speed things up. Sounds like a recipe for a potentially corrupted save file.

In about the last week the game has slowed down dramatically so I am waiting for minutes for the game to update the changes. It looks like it has crashed but it is just that slow.

Happened to me, I think I ended up waiting for a good minute or two and then it would confirm and load me back in the camp.

The very first time I used the mirror I hit confirm and nothing happened. I thought it was frozen but everything was still moving and the music was playing. I decided for whatever reason to just wait and after like 3 minutes, maybe more it brought me back to my camp with the changes.

Every use after that has been fine. So it's either an initial loading issue or an occasional bug.

I didn't know it was supposed to do anything, because it doesn't in my game.

I have bought every Larian game and this is the buggiest mess of a game they have ever made, by far.
