Well, if they are going to launch this game on next gen consoles, I believe it is a possibility

They will let you know when they finish it. If they launch without saying anything then no.

DOS2 didn't have ray tracing so I think it might not come to BG3 but considering how big DnD has become and how over hyped this game is, I believe it is a strong possibility.

They have a year or more to get on it. If CDPR can add ray tracing to witcher 3 then I am sure Larian can add additional ray tracing for a small fee.

Well recommended requirements is a gtx 1060 and that doesn’t support ray tracing so maybe it won’t have it :(

It will probably be in the definitive edition, that all BG3 owners will be getting for free of course.

Ray tracing won't have such impact in this game, unless you run around with the over the shoulder camera.

Never underestimate oil puddles in larian games. Do you want to see a vague shape in an oil puddle before it spontaneously explodes with the ferocity of hell? Or do you wanna see a beautiful mountain before it spontaneously explodes?

Never underestimate the value of ray-tracing.
The puddle reflections are next level.

Yeah ok you can get some nice depth, but I hope they just focus on the general design than polished shading.

Couldn't care less about ray tracing, DLSS 2.0 is pretty sweet. Enough so, that I'll probably switch to nvidia for CP2077.

And the new cards are cheap with even the 3070 being better than a 2080ti

Maybe? They have a whole year until premiere, a lot might happen. Especially as ray tracing is gaining popularity.

That has nothing to do with it. Ray Tracing is a "feature" it is not something you have to choose or not... it is merely an extra option. Personally I don´t see the need for it in this game.

That is utterly speculative. The 2070 was also supposed to be better than the 1080TI (nvidia´s benchmarks showcased that, the problem was that it was in their enviroment and with RT on)

My point.. wait a few days and we might know.
