can't edit appearance please help

I was playing a modded playthrough before the newest patch came out and when it updated i was forced to delete the save files and start a new vanilla playthrough. But i cant edit the appearance of my character in when i start the game and the magic mirror dosnt work either. I've already tried verifying the game files and they're fine, I also uninstalled the game and downloaded it again but nothing changed. Has anyone had this issue before and knows how to help?

Just hit esc and then resume after accepting changes. You will be in front of the mirror with them applied.

no i literally do not have the appearance menu. it doesn't pop up. i click on edit appearance and there's no menu on the left side of the screen

Oh you mean when making a character? Maybe you can just take a default one and change it at the mirror once you go to camp? Have you tried that?

yeah i tried that and no change. its very confusing and everything else works fine so i don't know where to start when it comes to this issue

Coming to the various forums to see about this, I'm having the same issue. I deleted all mods (including the BG3 Mod Manager). Still doesn't work!

Whenever people claim such they usually did not.
Consult the mods authors for mods related issues

Most likely culprit is still mods. Some of them like Improved UI (or maybe it's called something similar) needs to be completely deleted, it's not enough to just disable it.
