Easy fix.
He's not wrong though. And if you actually played the game, it's hardly 'pornographic'.
I'm flattered I live rent-free in your head, but not every critic of the game is me. I also very rarely make threads, I just post on them.
Not that theres anything wrong with that ofc. Maybe he was just born that way. :3
So largely that's on you - from an interview:
"Valve says Steam is designed to be personalized for each user, and there is no one secret algorithm that decides which games will reach more audience."
“We let player preferences drive the visibility to make recommendations relevant. The more you interact with Steam, the better it gets at recommendations.”
"However, revenue remains the main way for Steam to measure player interest. So the more players spend both time and money on a certain game, the stronger the signal to the store’s algorithms that it could be interesting to other users."
And after revenue apparently comes Localization and similar.
I don't care what Valve says. In my example BG3 obviously isn't relevant, while it should be sorted by relevance. It simply does not do what it says.
hmm... Would you say searching for a specific term (say... "awakening"), then clicking on the game, then going to the discussion forum and creating a thread would fall into this category?
It always surprises me how people get upset when they see more of the content they directly interact with. Especially on PC. If I remember right, dont most applications even track how long you had your mouse other something? Everything is yummy yummy data to be used against for your aid
Relevance means: Relevant to the search query. Recommendations have nothing to do with it. It should show relevant results, not "recommended results".

@ SimranZenov: I would yes.

It's not though. It's relevant to you, the player. It searches for the term in the name or description and then slaps the algorithms on it, which you've just weighted even more towards it by engaging in these forums, unintentionally telling the algorithm that you have an interest in it.
Just hit the Ignore button on the store page and move on.
