People complain about the overreaction. People don’t try to kill you for stealing an apple. Peasants most certainly will not attack elite warriors and suicide themselves for said apple. In Act 3 it escalates all the time.
Yup, I stopped caring too. Looting absolute controlled guard’s corpses that attacked me: fight to the death. Steal an apple: fight to the death. In the vaults I stepped through a door after showing them my pass: fight to the death. Wrong dialog option: fight to the death. I have never played another crpg so inclined to make the player a murder hobo. Just let it roll, it doesn’t matter. No real consequences anyway.
I only regret there’s no kill count. Wasn’t even trying…
PS. Oh… but you can roll high enough and get away with murdering a merchant in the middle of the streets in the city… there you stand, over the corpse of Bob the apple seller, 20 people around, one dice roll and the guard let’s you go, no one minds.
Back to the OP: To hell with the guards! Enjoy the panties!
