Shar Temple in Act 2

I am new to forum chat. I will try to explain my problem in best way i know how. I have this problem no matter what player character I make. I am starting the nightsong quest in grove. Then the goblins camp. Oh, keep in mind this with or without Shadowheart.I go to Shar's temp. I turn out the purple lights with or with out touching the beams. I never touch the maze sides either. No, matter what i do. There is no gem there on the platform. I have tried, every there is i can think of. I have tried other things i found on the net. what am i missing. It worked before. Now, nothing to gets to work now. Can any one help. Btw, if i said i tried to you. I more them likely have. I tried a lot over the past couple of months.

Theres no gem in that platform, you are looking in the wrong place. Theres 4 gems to be had for the elevator, 3 of them is in the sharran test rooms, and last by the floor at Yurgir.

then others are saying there should be. i need that to work first elevator. After defeating the skeletons to get to the thing that takes the gem. to get me to test.

Again, you are mixing up things, you are trying to take a hardmounted thing. Its only a button here

Doing the lights and walking through the mini maze only opens the door.
