This game is very dependent on healing potions
I'm playing tactician and I find my success depends heavily on the number of healing potions I have, and they are hard to find and hard to make.

You barely need healing at all in this game.

Don't get hit.

I used to think the same when i started playing, after like level 5-6 i have not used a healing potion yet. It only feels like that at the start.

Early on they are relatively valuable to stretch out your limited spell slots, but since you can quad-dip every potion out of combat, you should easily sustain.

Had the opposite experience. They are invaluable if you intend to full clear the nautiloid, or AoE splashing after early fights in act 1, but after that I found healing potions to be completely irrelevant.

I mean the other guy is right, even on tactician after the first few levels you dont need healing.

That must be it.

No, you're just playing on a higher difficulty than your abilities can match. You can beat the game perfectly fine on tactician without using a single healing potion. You can choose to use them out of combat to heal up without having to waste time partial resting, but if you need them during combat then it's because you are building and/or playing poorly.

And that's okay. You're not under any obligation to be good at the game. As long as you have fun you can play however you like. But your own lack of capability is not a reflection of universal truth, it's a personal and subjective issue. The statement you *should* be making is:

"My way of playing is very dependent on healing potions."

I'm winning fights. Maybe what you should say is "here is my answer and it is steeped in situational dependencies"

Have you ever restarted a fight or ability check because of the enormous dependencies on RNG?
Are you saying you have never used healing potions?
Have you ever wandered off a fight and just leveled up before the fight?

I am new to the game. I played tactician to start because I like the challenge. I just got done playing DOS2 and it definitely got easier with higher lvls and the enormous power they brought. So I will wait and see.

I use zero potions and no heals . Enemies are usually long dead before they can even take a turn let alone do any damage to me

For the rng thing, make sure to turn off karmic dice after level 2-3, its good for the first 2-3 levels but after that its more detrimental than beneficial.
