With games using up 8 - 12 GB of video ram EASILY, maybe you should ditch your 13 year old card ? Reality check maybe ? Heck this years games and the next will need 16 GB of ram just for 1440p gaming alone. 8 gigs is MINIMUM for 1080p. And yes people will chime in and say they ran game with 4 - 8 gigs fine but I doubt it was on high settings using all the new bells and whistles that that graphic cards have to offer, and they do not realise that game developers ARE coding for the latest and greatest graphic fidelity... Maybe stick to stylised pixel art games ?

I never knew a 960 existed until this post, heck in 2015 my GTX 970 "3.5" GB barely ran ARK 1.0 on medium settings ....

It is quite plain in the minimum requirements that you need 4GB+ of VRAM and 8GB of RAM running at least an Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD FX 8350.

A GTX 960 is a genuine antique and probably quite rare. You might find a museum that will pay a reasonable price for it and get a new PC.
